“Say hay boke-mahn he pah du say oh”…

…which in Korean means "Please receive many New Year's blessings"

This past Sunday we had the opportunity to gather together with other Korean-American families and celebrate the Korean New Year or Lunar New Year (for more info. check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_New_Year).

We dressed Spencer up in his Hanbok and learned how to perform a traditional bowing ceremony. Children bow respectfully to their elders and then receive a gift (an envelope with $1 in it).

We then enjoyed a potluck with lots of Bulgogi (beef bbq), rice and Kimchee (pickled cabbage).
