Last Thursday at the Auburn courthouse Spencer’s adoption was officially finalized! Our families met us there to share in our joy as we watched Judge Gaddis sign off on our petition to adopt.

It was held in the judge’s chambers and was very informal and relaxed.

Our precious little boy!

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as his children.

After being apart all week (Daddy was on a business trip and Spencer and Mama flew down to LA to visit Auntie Marie and Uncle Christian) we decided to head to the Zoo for a family outing. Since we already know that Spencer loves dogs we figured that the zoo would be something he would enjoy even at such a young age.

We started out by taking a train ride that gave you a tour of about half of the zoo…

When Spencer could actually get close enough to see the animals he was quite thrilled. He would stomp his feet, wave his arms and say "da, da, da!" It was very cute to watch!
