Boarding delayed about 30 minutes

They keep announcing it is due to "aircraft connection". We continue to hope they mean some sort of connecting flight, as opposed to, say, the wing not being connected to the fuselage as well as they’d like.

"Hey man, throw me that thar duct tape!"

About 10 minutes ago, there was a group of flight attendants sitting near us. Not having been born yesterday, I walked over with Spencer and we started making friends. These, after all, are the folks who will determine all of the perks we may or may not get on this flight.

One of them took him, and started speaking some Korean to him…he immediately snuggled up to her and went to sleep…I’m talking about 30 seconds here. Wow. She melted, and immediately wanted to know where our seats are. Or were.

First class I doubt, but hopefully they can arrange a bulkhead bassinet or something like that. :)

By the way, he’s doing pretty good. As previously mentioned, Cacey had walked him over to the nursery, and he crawled around and giggled and played for a while. Then I walked him around and we watched some baseball on the big flat screen in the terminal.

He’s still zonked out from the flight attendant snuggle, and is currently getting ready for his big US tour to start. First stops: LA and Sactown. :)

Sitting at ICN

Well, he still ranks as perfect in my book, but he is having a tough time adjusting. He just gets a little sad and scared and starts crying. We were prepared for it, but it’s still hard.

In particular, Cacey picked up that he cries the most when he can’t hear people speaking Korean. I’m searching for a Korean language audio book for him, no luck so far.

Right now, Cacey took him over to the nursery while I wait at the gate with our luggage. We are hoping and praying he will sleep a bit on the flight and wake up just a little more adjusted.

We are in the holding room at the agency where we first saw him two days ago. He was doing a little crying, which is understandable, since he’s never been alone with us. But Cacey just talked him to sleep.

6:15PM Update: I was typing this when the social worker alerted us the escort van was ready early. Sorry for the abrupt ending. :)
